Using QUANTA in the CSB

Quanta is available on SGI computers in the CSB. We have a single, floating license, which means that you can use it from any SGI computer, but only one person can use it at a time. Our license includes the following features: quanta, nquanta, xautofit, xbuild, xligand, xpowerfit.

To run quanta, type: setup quanta. Then, to start the program, just type quanta.

The quanta distribution is in /srv/local/quanta, so if you need particular files, you might find them there.

Quanta Documentation

A tutorial was provided with the program. It does not discuss local CSB features (like setup quanta), but it should work.

Online documentation is also available.

PDF documents for viewing or printing

The following PDF documents undoubtedly include some features for which we are not licensed.

System Administration

Notes on installing quanta are available here.
