PLUTON

PLUTON is a molecular graphics program. It's main utility for CSB users is the ability to plot atoms as ellipsoids representing anisotropic B factors. PLUTON is only distributed as an option within PLATON. Below is a typical output in Postscript format for the display of anisotropic B factors.

To create a similar image using PLUTON you should have a SHELX format coordinate file containing the anisotropic records. A PDB file containing ANISOU records can be converted to SHELX format using the following steps.
